Stephen D Sandoval MD

Dr. Stephen D. Sandoval, Board Certified in Orthopedic Surgery and Orthopedic Sports Medicine by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery, practices general orthopedics with special interest in sports medicine, arthroscopy, as well as knee and shoulder surgery. He has been serving the North Texas community since 2008. With his deep experience in sports medicine, Dr. Sandoval is able to provide specialized care to area athletes of all ages.
Located in Sherman, Texas, Orthopedic & Sports Medicine Associates cares for patients in Grayson County, Collin County, and the surrounding areas in North Texas and Southern Oklahoma. Dr. Sandoval operates at Baylor Scott and White Surgical Hospital at Sherman and Texoma Medical Center.
Dr. Sandoval completed his residency in Orthopedic Surgery at the University of Kansas Medical Center in Kansas City, KS. He also served as a Sports Medicine Fellow in Houston at the University of Texas Health Science Center and the Foundation for Orthopedic, Athletic & Reconstructive Research.
During this time, he served as a team physician for Rice University Athletics and the NBA Houston Rockets. He was also a tournament physician for the NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament and the Visa gymnastics championships.
Dr. Sandoval is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery, Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgery, member of the American Orthopedic Society for Sports Medicine, member of the Arthroscopy Association of North America, and member of the Texas Medical Association and Grayson County Medical Society.
