Here at Gold Star Carpet One we have always held ourselves to a much higher standard than your average company. What are those standards? We strive to make sure that every customer who interacts with us receives the best possible experience. This idea started in 1962, when Robert J. Baecht started his apprentice as a tile setter.

Robert began collecting the gold wall tile that was being thrown away. The tile inspired him to begin designing customers’ showers with it. The design that spoke to him the most was the star design. From there, Robert created the Gold Star mantra that is known today in our Carpet One store.

Robert introduced his four sons into the business as well. Currently Jimmy, Michael, and Bobby Baecht all continue to uphold the same standards for Gold Star Carpet One that were instilled in the company, by Robert Baecht, many years ago.
