Houston Metropolitan Federal Credit Union

Houston Metropolitan Federal Credit Union (HMFCU) is a certified Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI) that was chartered in 1945 to meet the financial needs of current, former, and retired employees of the City of Houston and Harris Health Systems. In 2003, the Credit Union expanded its membership to anyone living, working, attending school, or worshipping within 25 miles of either branch location, encompassing the entire Houston Metropolitan Area.

Now over 14,000 members strong and with assets topping $60 Million, Houston Metropolitan stands proud of its growth and accomplishments. HMFCU remains dedicated to the mission of providing excellent products and services that will improve not only each member's financial health but also the surrounding underserved communities through financial services and education.
