Nice track
Good layout. I prefer the West side. Plenty of challenge. Close to airport, so good place to play for travelers. 36 holes gives you a better chance to be able to get a tee time.

Top of the Line on Both Sides
In the quarter century Bear Creek has been open, it has matured into two near-perfect 18-hole layouts. It all started as a single 18-hole course (now the original 9-hole front and back are the fronts to East and West courses). There was a time you could putt out of traps and blast away from anywhere. But each year the trees make each hole a bit more of a challenge and the improvements around traps, green and water hazards are significant. This ranks as my favorite Dallas/Fort Worth layout because of 36 holes and the improvements since 1980. Yeah, there's a lot of air traffic overhead from DFW . . . but it's never affected one of my shots!

Great layouts
Both courses at Bear Creek are great layouts with lots of dog legs, trees and creeks. Since they replaced their greens a few years ago, the course is always in great shape. This is a mid-priced public course ($50 ish), but it is one of the better values for a nice public course. They have monthly 2-person scramble tournaments that are fun to play as an alternative to just another round of golf. If there is a downside, there are a lot of tournament outings held there, so call before walking on.
