Robert Bishop, MD

Dr. Bishop has been in practice with Family Practice Associates of Southern Hills since 1994. He received his Medical Degree from the University of Alabama School of Medicine and is Board Certified in Family Practice. He completed his Family Practice Residency at the Naval Hospital in Pensacola, FL and had active staff privileges from 1990-1993 in Hamilton, Bermuda, at King Edward VII Memorial Hospital.Dr. Bishop also served as Chief of Staff of Southern Hills Medical Center, as well as President of the Tennessee Academy of Family Practice (Andrew Jackson Chapter). Dr. Bishop is currently a preceptor for Vanderbilt University's Medical School. Memberships include American Board of Family Physicians (Diplomate), and the American Academy of Family Physicians.Dr. Bishop and his wife reside in Nashville with their three daughters.
