Our company was founded in 1983 by Abraham Jacob, PT as a Medicare certified rehabilitation agency. At that time, our original outpatient office was opened on Longfellow Street in Vandergrift, PA and relocated in 1985 to Weinels Crossroads in neighboring Allegheny Township due to the successful growth and need for additional space.

Due to the unexpected passing of our founder in 1991, his son Brian R Jacob took over the company as President and began to expand outpatient locations and diversify services to better serve the rehabilitation needs of local residents within our communities. Today WESTARM is the largest outpatient rehabilitation provider in the Alle-Kiski area and has been recognized as the "Best Physical Therapy Facility" in the VND Readers Choice Awards survey numerous times.

In order to meet the growing demand for homebound patients, WESTARM Homecare Nursing & Therapy was started in 2010. This development allows our licensed therapists and skilled nursing staff to visit patients in their homes after a hospital admission or recovering from surgery. Our homecare staff can progress and easily transition patients from their homes into our local outpatient facilities when they are ready.
