For over 45 years, Setaon hill child Services, Inc. has been providing quality care and education to the children throughout Westmoreland County. Families choose us because of our vast experience with early childhood education and development, warm and knowledgeable staff, and extensive programs that enable us to care for the total well-being of children. We have six facilities throughout Westmoreland County: Greensburg, Jeannette, Irwin, Mt. Pleasant, Latrobe & New Kensington. Available Programs: Early Head Start, Head Start, Pre-K Counts, Childcare/Day Care available - accepting all funding sources. Service options include full day or part day center-based care with flexible scheduling to meet the needs of families.. Kindergarten and school-age children can participate in before-school and after-school programs during the school year and full day programs during the summer. Head Start and Early head Start are programs for families who meet specific eligibility requirements. Children aged birth to five years old receive extended day or full day center-based services, and the families receive individualized support services. Pre-K Counts is a program for children that are at least age 3 and have not entered kindergarten. The high standards of the program ensure a high return on the investment made in preparing young children for school and will help close the achievement gap between groups of students in the K-12 educational system.
