Jake's Steaks was started by a Philly native who has a goal to provide the best-tasting cheesesteaks in or out of Philadelphia. It is a good sign when half the people at Jake's Steaks joint are from Philly. For the unenlightened, a cheesesteak consists of a heap of shredded beef and onion, tossed on a griddle, piled onto a uniquely chewy but tender Amoroso roll imported from Philadelphia, and topped with Cheese Whiz, which melts into the sandwich.
Jake's is tucked away on a residential block, but that doesn't stop local from popping in for a beer at the eight-seat bar or grabbing a table in the small but bright space, complete with a wallpapered photo of Philly's boathouse row on the Schuylkill River.

Philly Cheesesteaks
I'm so great that they deliver to Financial District because i'm so bored with all the food around my office. I came here sometimes during the weekends to watch a game, grab a beer and stuff my stomach with 12' cheesesteaks whiz without (cheese whiz with no onions!) Waffle fries is so yummy but not for delivery though.. Also, i enjoy my toffee cupcake tastykake!

my first time eating here was back in 2006 before I moved to LA and never got good cheesestake as Jake's does. I moved back to the city last Dec and last week just got a chance to eat Jake's again, Meat, white american and onion! that's all i need in my cheesesteaks, Yummy! I will come back more often

Best Authentic Philly Cheese Steaks in SF
If you eat Pat, Gino, and Jake's in one setting, you would say they are equally great in their own way. Each does something different. Jake's has the closest sandwich to what you can get in Philly here in SF. Without flying 2500 miles, this is a steal. I like their new BBQ wings.

Yes, it is the best!
Yes, no sprouts, no avocado! Just MEAT and CHEESE. That's what they called cheesesteaks. I love the chesse whiz, on sandwich on fries..love them all. Cold beers, oh yes! TV, yes, i want this big at home too!

Best Cheesesteaks in town
I come here all the time for lunch and watch some games on their hugh flat screen TV, and don't have any idea how weekend looks like until one sunday, i had to come to my office and thought maybe I could take some Jake's home, wow, I was amazed to see so many eagles fans (i'm not ) watching their team here and ate the cheesesteaks!, and i heard they said this cheesesteak is close to home! I'm so glad i've been eating the right place for a long time., my favorite is Whiz with! and a side of chili cheese fries!! Yumm..

Great Cheesesteaks
My favorite meal every thursday happens here at Jake's, close enough to walk from work. I enjoys eating my cheesesteak combo (cheesesteak + fries + soda) you can upgrade to a beer (extra of course), I did that once in a while.
