Mat Schuster, Canela’s executive chef, has dedicated his life to creating sophisticated and unforgettable flavors using only top of the line local products in conjunction with gourmet Spanish products. Right after we came to San Francisco, we immediately fell in love with the city and the Castro neighborhood. This is the neighborhood where we started our own family and have built our life together.
