Fly Me to the Paper Moon

wow!
This small and unassuming shops has some great little secrets hidden inside. I found a OED in excellent condition (complete with little drawer and original magnifying glass) being offered at half the price those of lesser condition are going for at the bigger independent bookstore in town. The books in the front of the store are a bit sun faded, but still make great reading copies. comparable prices.

Beware: look before your buy
I located this bookseller through ABEBOOKS and purchased two books from them that were described as first editions in vg/near fine condition in like dustwrappers. I paid for the books, as always, by credit card before receiving the books. When the books arrived I was very disappointed as neither was a first edition nor were they or the dustwrappers in anything like vg/near fine condition. Andrea Drinard and her Paper Moon Bookstore just charmed the literary pants off me! Her place is totally overflowing with carefully selected titles. She really seems to have an excellent sense of what will be most interesting, and, by taking the time to get to know me, she always seems ble to steer me toward what suits my most current interest. Really, I could just talk to her for an afternoon, but I don't want to take up her time. I guess her internet business is going great guns, which is fine. I like to think of the whole world having access to this shop. I wish the world was full of unique shops like this. Alas, they seem ever more rare; all the more reason to support this one!
