Murphy Agency The

The Wyche Murphy Agency was started in Stillwater in 1926 by Wyche B. Murphy. W.B's son Wyche Murphy Jr joined the agency and made Property and Casualty the main product that the agency sold. This included Auto, Home, Renters, Commercial/Business Insurance and Workers Compensation Insurance. In 1985 John W. Murphy joined his father in the business adding Life, Health and Employee Benefit Insurance as product lines the agency offered.
Today the Murphy Agency offers a wide spectrum of products, in addition to L&H and P&C we offer Long Term Care Insurance, Medicare Supplements, Medicare Advantage Plans and Medicare Part "D" RX plans., Long and Short Term Disability plans, Annuities (both fixed and equity income-linked products). We also offer many types of Life Insurance, including Term, Whole Life and Universal Life plans.

As an Independent Agency we are able to quote and sell with the major Auto & Home carriers available. Currently we represent Travelers, Progressive, Hartford, CNA, Safeco, MetLife, and a number of other preferred carriers. We also offer commercial bonding.
