My fiancee and I are current/former residents of Historic Front Street in Zone A. Currently, as you know, we are unable to live in our apartment for months and have relocated to a temporary sublet on the Upper East Side. My tip/issue is this, we moved into this apartment in August 2012, signed a 2 year lease, and were only able to live there less than 3 months. We paid a broker's fee to New York Living Solutions, for basically doing zero work. We sought out the building ourselves, contacted management, but had to pay a broker fee to New York Living Solutions because they originally let us onto the property in May 2012. That is all that they did. Basically, have been trying to get in touch with New York Living Solutions since last week to work something out because our building is uninhabitable. They will not return our phone calls and emails. You would think that they would try to do their best and pitch in to try to relocate us, but they have turned a blind eye to Sandy victims. I am sure there are many others in Zone A with a similar problem. We were wondering if there is a possibility to get our broker's fee back or to urge them to help us find suitable living accommodations.
