Robert B. Lanter, DO, is a physiatrist and orthopaedic specialist with offices in Oceanside and Long Beach, New York.
Dr. Lanter obtained his degree in osteopathic medicine from the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine, New York Institute of Technology. He served as a resident physician at New York Medical College and trained at Metropolitan Hospital, Westchester County Medical Center, and was Chief Resident at Lincoln Hospital Medical Center. He completed a sports medicine fellowship at NYU-Hospital for joint diseases in New York City, where he is now a clinical instructor in the Department of Rehabilitation Medicine at NYU Grossman School of Medicine.
Upon completion of his fellowship training, Dr. Lanter opened up his own private medical practice, presently located in Oceanside and Long Beach, New York. Dr. Lanter then continued his training and became a certified medical acupuncturist. He has explored and trained in platelet-rich plasma therapy as well as stem cell therapy and has introduced these procedures into his orthopedic medical practice.
More recently, platelet-rich plasma therapy has become an integral part of treating conditions affecting joints, muscles, and tendons. Aesthetic treatments with platelet-rich plasma therapy include facial rejuvenation and hair restoration.
