Dean Martin, MD, OBGYN, FACOG, takes a patient-centered approach to gynecological medicine, providing compassionate care in a safe, inclusive environment. As a board-certified African American OBGYN in New York City, Dr. Martin provides individualized care for women of all ages at his office in Brooklyn’s Georgetown neighborhood, located in Scotts Medical Plaza.
After graduating cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in pharmacy from Long Island University’s Arnold and Marie Schwartz College of Pharmacy in Brooklyn, New York, Dr. Martin went on to earn his medical degree at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, now known as Rutgers School of Biomedical and Health Sciences, in Newark, New Jersey. He completed his training in obstetrics and gynecology at St. Luke’s Roosevelt Hospital in Manhattan, New York. During his postgraduate training, Dr. Martin scored in the top one-third of his class three years in a row.
Dr. Martin understands the needs of his patients and always does his best to help. With a focus on patient education, he performs a variety of conservative and surgical treatments for conditions like abnormal bleeding, fibroids, polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), and pelvic pain. He has advanced expertise in minimally invasive surgery, including laparoscopic and robotic hysterectomy procedures.
