Academy Storage

Academy Storage, built in 1991, in the enchanted city of Santa Fe, New Mexico, was constructed with the intention of being the first indoor, “climate controlled” facility. There is a large two-story building that houses only 5×5 and 5×10 units. The building itself is a stucco, wood framed, highly insulated building. Each 5×5 and 5×10 unit is individually insulated, sheet rocked, and taped top to bottom. There are no gaps between any of the units. Academy Storage also offers drive up, masonry and steel constructed, ground floor units ranging from 4×9 to 10×30 while providing limited car garage lockers.

Academy Storage has always been a locally owned and family run facility since 1991. The current owner is a local Santa Fean who purchased the facility in January of 2003. The business afforded her the luxury of managing her facility while attending to the needs of her two young children at the office. It is not unusual to find family and friends assisting with some of the operations concerning the facility. Many of the current clients of Academy Storage have become a part of the Academy Storage family and it is not unusual to find people hanging out in the office catching up with stories about family, trips, work, or just plain politics – YIKES! It is a unique business that houses fellow Santa Feans, newbies from every corner of the globe including Dubai, Africa, to Canada. It is not unusual at all to find Academy Storage client’s lunching together at local dives or talking about business at quaint places in wonderful Santa Fe.

Client’s of Academy Storage are varied and many are opinionated, happy, fun, silly, and ready to chat about just anything! Artists, curators, attorneys, construction owners/workers, realtors and brokers, film industry goers, bankers, military personnel, custom-dress makers, musicians, teachers, chefs and cooks, web and graphic designers and so many other hard-working individuals make up what is now Academy Storage’s family.
