Michael Short: Allstate Insurance

I got my own start in the insurance business when I worked at my father's agency as a student at West Morris High School. After graduating from the University of Scranton, I volunteered in Brooklyn and also worked as a high school administrator in Scranton for several years before joining my father in his Long Valley agency in 2003. In 2008, I purchased the agency from my father and gave him the opportunity to begin his much-deserved retirement.

New Jersey is a great place for my wife and me to raise our young son, and we love spending time together on the beaches, golf courses, and ski slopes right here in the Garden State.

I am honored to give back to the community that has given me so much through sponsorships including the Washington Township Historical Society, the Action for Distraction Run/Walk (to benefit the Goryeb Children's Hospital), Alex's Lemonade Stand and more.
