Friedberg Eugene MD

Dr. Eugene Friedberg is a Board Certified Psychiatrist who offers comprehensive outpatient treatment in Bergen County and surrounding area. He is on the faculty of the Columbia P&S Medical School and an attending at the NY Presbyterian Hospital where he teaches Psychiatry residents. He is a graduate of both the Columbia residency program and the Columbia Psychoanalytic Center where he is also a faculty member. Dr. Friedberg has had long term experience in individual psychodynamic and cognitive-behavioral treatment for adults and adolescents. In addition, he has broad experience with counselling for those persons suffering with marital and family problems. Medications can also be prescribed when necessary. His only current professional office is in Englewood, NJ. The goal of therapy is the alleviation of the pain of current symptoms and long term emotional growth with improved health and wellbeing through greater self-awareness and correction of distorted conflicted thinking patterns. The object is to achieve greater sense of inner harmony, self-confidence and capacity for better more satisfying interpersonal relationships.
