Simone Gampel

Simone Gampel RD, CDE is a nutrition expert with a specialty in diabetes and obesity. Her main interest includes treating clients for weight management with a concentration in bariatric surgery. She also provides medical nutrition therapy to her weight management patients with co- morbidities including gastrointestinal diseases, cardiovascular diseases and all forms of diabetes. Simone recognizes the importance of teaching all her clients about living healthier lifestyles to prevent and decrease their risk for further disease.<br />

Prior to joining Summit Health, Simone owned a private practice in Middlesex County and has worked for various medical facilities including Cooper University Hospital, Visiting Nurse Services of NY, and Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital. She has also worked as a clinical manager for Sodexo Food Service Management Company.<br />

Simone has provided community nutrition education via various forums including health fairs, health care organization sponsored events and media including local television programs, newspaper columns and radio.<br />

Ms. Gampel is a member of the Garden State Association of Diabetes Educators and the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.<br />

When Ms. Gampel is not working with her clients, she enjoys spending time with her husband and 3 children. Together they enjoy outdoor activities like hiking and swimming.
