When Henry O. Baker Insurance Group first founded his insurance and real estate agency back in 1923, he probably never could have guessed that 92 years later his enterprise would be going stronger than ever. Of course, Mr. Baker had a lot of help over the years turning the Henry O. Baker Insurance Group into a Morris County institution. Aside from Mr. Baker himself, the most important contributor to the agency's service to the Dover community was Archibald Nicholas, Jr. In 1958, Mr. Nicholas brought his newly minted Wharton business degree and his new wife back to his hometown of Dover and joined forces with Mr. Baker to build one of the area's most enduring business success stories. The Henry O. Baker Insurance Group has always prided itself on being a traditional, Main Street community leader, true to its independent roots. When Mr. Nicholas decided it was time to retire in 1999, he left the company in the very capable hands of his daughter, Jennifer, who learned the insurance business and the importance of customer service, at her father's side.

Today, the Henry O. Baker Insurance Group employs 27 licensed insurance professionals among its 34 full and part time staff members. Since taking the reins, Ms. Nicholas has committed herself to reorganizing the agency in such a way as to meet the growing insurance needs of the regional business community without sacrificing any of the service or personality that has made Henry O.
