Licensed in both Chiropractic Medicine (NC 2221) as well as Acupuncture (NC 591), Dr. Lisa Oskardmay can help you fully explore the benefits of alternative medicine. Her interest in healthcare began as a child as an avid sports enthusiast and continued into college as she worked at the National Institute of Health doing honors research. Her knowledge of what we call `alternative medicine`- chiropractic, acupuncture, nutrition; grew as she worked as a teacher in the US Peace Corps in Belize and she grew to understand the true efficacy and value of these modes of healing . Later, during internship following Chiropractic education, as she worked in the Salvation Army Clinics of downtown Chicago; Dr. Lisa was once again struck by the great healthcare she was able to provide to her clients using the high-quality, hands-on approaches of chiropractic and acupuncture.
Today, our office is more high-tech (we utilize HIPAA Compliant Electronic Health Records, Digital Xray and MRI services at nearby facilities, and electronic billing methods, E-mail Patient reminders for appointments); and we enjoy the proximity of a variety of other healthcare providers with whom we share referrals. However, Dr. Lisa continues to utilize those same gentle, hands-on techniques today because they fill a need for healthcare therapies that are effective and have been tested over the decades and which have few, if any, negative side-effects
