Nestled on a shared campus with Carlton Plaza Sacramento, Crown Plaza Enhanced Assisted Living is smaller and more intimate. Many of the 56 apartments in the two-story community have doors opening onto the interior courtyard, which provides residents easy access to common areas and allows staff greater ability to monitor residents’ well-being. The cathedral ceilings and lush indoor atrium contribute to an atmosphere of tranquility and comfort. With nursing staff available on site 24 hours a day, seven days a week, higher care needs can be managed more comprehensively. Supportive services are available to seniors who need post-operative and post-stroke rehabilitation, help with activities of daily living, and mobility assistance for such neuromuscular conditions as multiple sclerosis, ALS, Parkinson’s or muscular dystrophy. All personal caregivers have been certified in Carlton’s nationally recognized Advanced Caregiver Training (ACT) program, which enhances their understanding of these diseases and their appropriate treatments. Two other award-winning care programs are available: diabetes management; and balance fitness and mobility assistance.
