The Country Bar

Located at Lyndale and Lake, a tough to find unnamed bar with a giant restored neon cowboy. Featuring barrel aged cocktails, an extensive tequila/ mescal and whiskey selection. Happy hour M-F 4-6pm. Although the restaurant was completely renovated in 2016, all of the memorial elements were retained with a copper topped bar, original fixtures and lots of taxidermy. The Country Bar still serves the best chicken wings in town (City Pages 2016) with the original Shorty & Wags Recipe, in addition to a full menu. Saturday and Sunday brunch starts at 10am with a Southern inspired menu and bottomless bubbles (Cava with your choice of fresh juice) for $12. There is outdoor seating with a fireplace in there rear with limited seating out front on Lyndale Avenue.
