Tarek Hassan, MD

Tarek S. Hassan, M.D. is a Professor of Ophthalmology at Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine and Senior Partner and previous Director of the Vitreoretinal Fellowship Training Program at Associated Retinal Consultants in Royal Oak, Michigan. Dr. Hassan has an active clinical and academic practice. He is involved in a wide array of both basic science and clinical vitreoretinal research studies, and has served as principal investigator or co-investigator in more than 100 national trials, notably in the areas of macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, retinal vein occlusion, and vitreoretinal surgery.
