Wonderful!
My husband and I stayed here several years ago for our first anniversary. It was wonderful! It's a little off the beaten path, which we like. The decor is beautiful and romantic. The breakfast was delicious. We can't wait to go back someday!

Lack-Luster Customer Service
While the Gramercy is beautiful, the service is far less than spectacular. I married my wife there in '07 and it was not the easiest planning in the world. The management and booking of this B&B is very inconsistent and the communication within the staff is terrible. We were charged (eventually refunded) for rooms we didn't want because of poor communication. It was still a fantastic wedding (but that's usually more about the people you invite). This year I thought I'd surprise my wife and book a "romantic getaway" evening in the same room we stayed in our wedding night (good idea, huh?). Well, the surprise was totally ruined when a confirmation email was sent to my wife! I was furious, but it took a lot to even get an apology (isn't this the service industry??). So...if your not worried about attention to important details......

PERFECT FORTIETH WEDDING ANNIVERSARY
Personal service, fireplace in room, beautiful table and chairs to sit by the fire with a cup of tea, extremely comfortable beds...these are just a few of the fine features of this house. Ordering coffee and breakfast the night before, assures you of a beautifully convenient next morning. Coffee service was outside the door at precisely 7am, to my husband's great delight. We lazed by the fireplace watching the morning news, then went down to breakfast at 9. We wanted to dine where we could enjoy the beautiful gardens. Friendly, pleasant service, fresh organic eggs and herbs from their own farm, plus pancakes to die for, ensure that you will be energized for the day ahead. A walk in the garden and a rest by the pool completed our morning. Watching Anne's grandchildren playing in the pool gives it the wonderful atmosphere of a family home...so much better than the feeling that a B and B should impart the feeling of being in a "rest home!"
