Animal Care Center

Animal Care Center opened its doors on June 1st, 1983. The practice was built as a two-doctor practice by Dr. Larry Knight and Dr. William Wheat. The original facility was built with the idea of comprehensive veterinary medical and surgical care. The practice was initially comprised of approximately 60% small animal and 40% large animal. Dr. Darryl Bubrig joined the staff in 1988 and in 1990 he became half owner when he purchased Dr. Knight’s portion of the practice. Since that time we have prospered and grown into the largest non-referral veterinarian clinic on the Northshore. Our hospital now has 9 Veterinarians with over 100 years of experience and additional support staff of 30+ part and full-time employees.
