Tonie's RV

Tonie's RV was established in 1997 by Whetonia ""Tonie"" Canipe as an RV rental company. She prided herself on supplying her customers with an RV they could enjoy on their vacations. She did all of the maintenance herself and named her rental RVs after her family members.In October of 2000 she decided to transition the company to a parts and service center, and she continued to rent RVs for the next three years. After the fleet of RVs aged and were retired, she focused her business on parts and service.The parts and service business continued to grow, and she made customer service her main priority. She would say, ""We want the local people. We want to know them because we want them back here again and again.""
n July of 2008 the company moved to its current location. 2008 and 2009 were sad times for Tonie's RV and the US economy. The economy slowed and gas prices rose, thus hurting the RV business. In January 2009 Tonie passed away, and the company was handed down to the current owner Rick Canipe, Tonie's son.Tonie's has continued to grow thanks to all of our loyal and great customers. In 2014 we started selling new and used recreational vehicles. After being in Salem, VA for 27 years we closed this store in August 2024 and moved to a new location in Roanoke, VA.
