Good Companions Care at Home Agency

The Good Companions have been delivering outstanding care at home for over 25 years. Rated as GOOD by the Care Quality Commission, their Care Services range from 15-minute medication visits to daily or even 24-hour live-in Care. Same-day assessments are normally available if you need to urgently arrange care at home. Good Companions have a large fleet of cars and can access even remote villages in Cumbria.
If you are an older person or have a physical disability, learning disability or mental health needs, their dedicated home care staff may be able to support you with daily activities such as getting in and out of bed, getting dressed and all aspects of personal care.
They can also help with daily living or domestic tasks like laundry, shopping, and some meal preparation.

Specially trained staff are available for those with additional needs. If you are frail, have been ill, or have just come out of the hospital, you may benefit from short–term home care support.
Home care services can be provided by our domiciliary team and paid for using personal budgets. The amount of care you receive weekly will depend on your assessed needs.
All our staff must be specially trained in areas such as manual handling, first aid, food hygiene, safeguarding, and dementia care. Prior to commencing employment with Good Companions, all staff must have 2 references and background checks with the disclosure and barring service (DBS).
