My theoretical approach is client-centered and I utilize cognitive-behavior therapy strategies. Many times this includes building new skills based on your needs. I utilize play therapy, ecotherapy (therapy in the natural environment), mindfulness strategies, relaxation techniques, and thought restructuring. I believe that striving to be perceived as “normal” is not the goal. I utilize a neurodiverse and strength-based philosophy. I do not seek a target of normalcy, but rather a goal to feel successful, included, accepted, and mentally well. I believe that connection is essential and this connection is the most important component in both therapy and family systems. I am available for counseling and consultation services.
