I have always been passionate about patient education and helping patient achieve their health goals. While working in the hospital, I noticed a lack of health literacy in the patient population I was working with. As a nurse practitioner, I can serve as a primary source to help patients improve their health and access to care. My model of patient care is patient-centered care, which means having the patient serve as an equal partner in developing personalized goals for their care plan. My particular interest in healthcare includes primary prevention and women’s health. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my husband and three boys, traveling, and enjoying any outdoor activity.
