Amanda Banks Lubbock

Dr. Banks currently serves as the Chief Equity Officer at Integral Care (Austin, Travis County), the largest Local Mental Health Authority in Texas. In this capacity, she leads the efforts of embedding a racial equity framework across the entire agency. Her background in race equity includes working with state agencies, public schools, nonprofits, grassroots organizations, and faith-based entities. A social justice advocate, storyteller, facilitator, and public speaker, Dr. Banks strives to empower, inspire, and elevate the voices of “the least of them.” Dr. Banks is the author of “Amazing Race,” a nonfiction book filled with riveting stories and leadership lessons based on the trials and triumphs of 1968 Olympian and coach, Jarvis Scott. A Texas Tech All-American (Triple Jump), and member of the Texas Tech Hall of Fame and Southwest Conference Hall of Fame, Dr. Banks earned her Ph.D. in Counselor Education from Texas Tech University.
