Christie L Buonpane, MD

Christie L. Buonpane, M.D., is a pediatric surgeon with Norton Children’s Surgery, affiliated with the UofL School of Medicine. Dr. Buonpane earned her medical degree from Rutgers New Jersey Medical School in Newark. She completed her general surgery residency at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, Pennsylvania, and a pediatric surgery fellowship at the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine, Oklahoma City, specializing in minimally invasive surgery and neonatal congenital anomalies.
With a focus on providing comprehensive and inclusive care, Dr. Buonpane believes in including patients and caregivers as integral members of the care team. Her philosophy centers on ensuring understanding and collaboration, allowing patients and their families to have a voice in treatment options.
When away from work, Dr. Buonpane loves spending time with her family and going for hikes.
