Abaco Exotic Treasures

Mr. Mervyn Drakes first started as a jewelry stock manager in a local jewelry chain in Nassau Bahamas “Jewels by the Sea.”

From there, Mr Drakes married Vyrna Brenee Major and moved to Abaco where he for 9 years presented a jewelry show at a local time share resort “Abaco Towns By the Sea” which was very well received by the guests. Many a tourist would delight at how Mr Drakes would eloquently explain how jewelry was made in the Bahamas using indigenous materials such as conch shells, corals, and coconut shell.

Afterward, he would give the guests an opportunity to win a beautiful island necklace by guessing the number of beads or coming closest to the number; truly delightful times!
