Julio Cesar Grajeda Chavez, MD

Julio Grajeda Chavez, M.D., is a cardiologist at Baptist Health. He is fluent in English and Spanish.

Specializing in general cardiology, Dr. Grajeda Chavez cares for a range of heart conditions with a focus on preventive cardiology, lipid disorders, hypertension, valvular heart disease and congestive heart failure.

Prior to joining Baptist Health, Dr. Grajeda Chavez finished his cardiology fellowship at Columbia University’s Division of Cardiology at Mount Sinai Medical Center. He was awarded Fellow of the Year for his academic excellence.

Dr. Grajeda Chavez earned his medical degree from Universidad Anáhuac Faculty of Health Sciences, where he graduated in the top three of his class. He then completed his internal medicine residency at University of Miami’s Palm Beach Regional Graduate Medical Education Consortium.

In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Grajeda Chavez contributes to research, including his recent work on improving the assessment of fitness on cardiac health using an advanced echocardiographic technique. He is also a member of the American College of Cardiology.

From routine follow-up appointments to critical cases, Dr. Grajeda Chavez approaches each patient with the highest standards of knowledge, humility and professionalism. In his free time, Dr. Grajeda Chavez enjoys traveling, exercising outdoors with his wife and going to comedy shows.
