Mevan Wijetunga, MD

Mevan Wijetunga, MD is a cardiologist at Altru Health System and specializes in cardiac electrophysiology, or management of heart rhythm disorders. He performs procedures such as implementation of cardiac monitors, pacemakers and defibrillators, as well as catheter based ablations of specific heart rhythm disorders. Outside of work, Dr Wijetunga enjoys spending time with his family and friends, reading, listening to music, traveling and exercise as often as he can. He is passionate about extending cardiac electrophysiology services to other places around the world, particularly for populations who cannot financially afford these services.
