Anesthesia Pain Care Consultants: Javier Vilasuso, MD

Dr. Vilasuso, a fellowship-trained interventional pain medicine physician, joined Anesthesia Pain Care Consultants (APCC) in August 2015. He earned his medical degree from the University of Miami's Miller School of Medicine. He attended the University of South Florida where he completed his fellowship training in pain management and residency in anesthesiology.

Prior to joining APCC, Dr. Vilasuso established his own medical practice called Miami Pain Specialists, where he treated chronic pain patients with a variety of interventional procedures. He was also with Doctors Hospital at Baptist Health South Florida in Coral Gables overseeing all of the hospital's pain consults.

Dr. Vilasuso has extensive training and experience treating both benign and malignant pain syndromes, which comes from his time at the Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa. His special training includes the Vertos Medical mild procedure.
