This Texas girl has been around for a while! I was born and raised in Houston, and I worked in quite a few positions over the years: secretary, accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, full charge bookkeeper and human resources. I had found that an office is my niche. My last employer was a C.P.A. that I was with for 20+ years. Under his tutelage, I learned many skills in accounting and tax. We had clients big and small. Probably the most valuable skill I learned from him is communication: asking the right questions, and really listening. Our field went from manual accounting and hand prepared tax returns to the modern technology of computerization over the years (blessing!) and became proficient in accounting programs as well as tax systems.

As a result of his encouragement and confidence in my ability, I studied and tested with the Internal Revenue Service in taxation to become an Enrolled Agent (E.A.). This designation allows me to represent taxpayers before the IRS that are faced with audit or collection issues and as an E.A., we are held to the same ethical standards as an attorney or C.P.A.

My experience includes individuals, self-employed, farms, partnerships, C Corporations, S Corporations, Estates and Non-Profits, as well as the state of Texas sales and use tax and franchise tax.
