Dr. Joseph Perez, DO

Dr. Perez was born and raised in northern New Jersey, and lived many years in suburban Ft. Lauderdale, Florida.
He attended Florida International University in Miami for his undergraduate degree, and subsequently Nova Southeastern University for his medical education. He trained in Internal Medicine at Mount Sinai Medical Center on Miami Beach.
Dr. Perez worked as a hospital based internist at Gwinnett Medical Center Lawrenceville and then completed a Cardiology fellowship at Nova Southeastern University/Palmetto General Hospital in Hialeah, Florida prior to returning to Lawrenceville and joining the CardioVascular Group.
He is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Cardiovascular Diseases. He has interests in adult echocardiography and transesophageal echocardiography, as well as nuclear cardiology. Dr. Perez is fluent in Spanish and cares for patients in our Lawrenceville and Snellville offices.
