My name is Peter Kiral, and I am the founder of Charleston Virtuosi! Our group comprises of wedding, event, and concert musicians from the Charleston and Savannah area. I got my start in the wedding music industry in 2006. Thinking back to my first gig, it was a small, intimate ceremony at Alhambra Hall in Mt. Pleasant where I was playing solo violin. What a wonderful experience that undoubtedly led to the over 600 weddings, corporate events, fashion shows, and concerts I’ve been directly and indirectly a part of to this day! In 2006, I moved to Charleston to study the Artist Certificate Program at the College of Charleston. Before that, I lived in Bratislava, Slovakia — my hometown. Prior to moving to Charleston, I toured around the world with chamber groups and symphony orchestras. For the past several years, I’ve lived between Charleston and New York City where I manage and perform with another music group — The New York Virtuosi. The latter performed at Carnegie Hall and New York Fashion Week. In the Fall of 2007, Charleston Virtuosi was born.
