Hello…My name is Kent. I am the founder of RightHand Tax Prep & Bookkeeping. I began RHT in the hopes to help individuals and businesses that don’t have a large amount of resources. I know what it means to overcome adversity and can empathize with those who are struggling. In late 2017, I suffered a stroke caused by an aneurysm near my brain. I was in a medically induced coma for a month, left with partial loss of motor skills, and was given only a one percent chance of survival. God answered the many prayers from family and friends and although I was expected to be confined to a wheelchair the rest of my life, I began intensive physical therapy that eventually gave me the opportunity to learn to walk again.

My faith in a God who heals, along with the love and encouragement from my two young sons, Kent Russell and Zachary, and others, I had the strength to endure therapy and learn to adapt to a new life ahead. My surgery left me with the use of only my right hand, which was extremely difficult as a left-handed person. Now, I want to help others that have or are currently struggling with their finances, especially those that are experiencing any kind of hardship, have served our country as former military, first-responders, and anyone looking to start a small to medium-sized business.
