Parth J. Patel, MD

Dr. Parth J Patel is a trauma and acute care surgeon at Staten Island University Hospital. He graduated from Rutgers University with a degree in biomedical engineering before going to medical school at New Jersey Medical School in Newark, New Jersey. He then completed his general surgery residency at Temple University Hospital in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. During his residency, he found he had an aptitude for taking care of critically ill patients, so he decided to pursue a career in trauma and acute care surgery and completed a surgical critical care fellowship at Yale New Haven Hospital in New Haven, Connecticut. He is a member of the Eastern Association for the Surgery of Trauma, American Medical Association, American College of Surgeons, and the Society of Critical Care Medicine.
