Vijay Ramesh Karia, MD

Vijay Karia, MD, is board certified in rheumatology. Dr. Karia earned his medical degree from St. George's University School of Medicine in the West Indies. He completed his internship at Hurley Medical Center and his residency at McLaren Regional Medical Center, both in Michigan. He then completed a fellowship in rheumatology at Louisiana State University in New Orleans. Dr. Karia specializes in treating gout, rheumatoid arthritis, lupus and other autoimmune conditions. Patients give him high marks for his compassionate care and excellent listening skills. They also appreciate Dr. Karia's sen se of humor, which puts them at ease during exams. In his spare time, Dr. Karia enjoys a variety of outdoor activities, especially road and mountain biking. He has also completed a marathon. In addition to English, he speaks basic Spanish.
