I never left high school seeking to be a tax professional. Tax and accounting found me. After having my last child in 2006 I was looking for work and I guess you could say that tax and accounting fell into my lap. From my beginnings in 2006 to the present I have gone from the new kid on the block to the owner of my own tax business. I have been a tax specialist for 17 years and owned and operated my firm for 10 years.

I am a mom, wife, daughter, grandma, and pet owner. I am 41 years old and thoroughly enjoy what I do. I try my best to maintain a professional “girl next door” relationship with my clients.

My roots run deep in the hills of Eastern KY as I grew up in Floyd County KY. I want my clients to feel comfortable in my office and know that I will treat them as I would like to be treated. So many people are nervous when it comes to filing taxes, so I strive to NOT make our visit feel like a trip to the principal’s office. As some of my past and current clients can tell you, I have a motto.

In this office, “Never be afraid to tell me the truth. No judgment here. There are 3 people you should never lie to for the best results: 1. Your Doctor 2. Your attorney 3. Your tax professional/accountant.” I cannot help you if I don’t know the whole story.

I also work with my husband and his construction and remodeling business. We have had this business for 12 years. I am no stranger to self-employment and business issues. My tax philosophy is accepting you at the level you are at and helping you file your taxes as easily and “Simple” as possible.
