Nicole Ruhland, PA-C

Nicole Ruhland, PA-C joined The Iowa Clinic Gynecologic Oncology department because of the superb reputation of the clinic and providers. She was eager to continue her career alongside them. Growing up in an area where women’s health was not very accessible, Nicole wanted to work in a field that created a safe space in which those topics would be open for discussion. While in school, Nicole had a passion for oncology, so combining her love of women’s health with her clinical interest made sense for her. The ability to make an uncomfortable or scary situation better for her patient is something she finds most rewarding – whether it’s explaining an exam or providing education about a diagnosis.

Outside of work, Nicole enjoys swimming, running, quilting, baking, and partaking in a community band.
