Ionut Albu, DO

Ionut Albu, D.O., is a primary care physician at Baptist Health. He specializes in preventative medicine, weight loss management and musculoskeletal pain. Fluent in English and Romanian, he also speaks conversational Spanish.

Prior to joining Baptist Health in 2022, Dr. Albu completed his internal medicine residency at Aventura Hospital and Medical Center in Aventura, FL. During his residency, he served as chief resident. He also trained in the evolving field of preventative cardiology to help detect coronary artery plaque and reverse it through imaging software.

Dr. Albu believes in connecting with patients, treating each one like a family member and understanding daily habits to provide recommendations to prevent health problems.

When not seeing patients, he enjoys playing tennis and jazz saxophone, watching college football and exploring Florida’s beaches.
