Eric Michael Sherman, MD

What drew me into medicine initially was pediatrics. I had a really strong relationship with the pediatrician who took care of me growing up in Virginia. I like talking to kids in some ways more than I like talking to adults. As far as endocrinology, I did a diabetes camp when I was in my pediatric residency, and I loved the diabetes part of it. I enjoyed working with kids in that environment. It's tough. It hard to take care of them, but I really enjoyed helping them with their diabetes, making them feel not as scared about it and trying to make things a little bit better for them.
