Dr. Connaughton is board certified by the American Board of Surgery in General Surgery. He is a member of the American College of Surgeons, Texas Medical Association, Oklahoma State Medical Association, and Denton County Medical Association. Dr. Connaughton served in the US Army as a surgical technician for five years. He then attended the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in Medical Technology and then subsequently his Doctor of Medicine degree. Dr. Connaughton attended his internship and residency at the University of Oklahoma where he received his Certificate for General and Peripheral Vascular Surgery. He has been in private practice since then spending 20 years in Denton and the last 4 years on Maui. Dr. Connaughton has returned to the North Texas area to open a practice in Allen.
