Maria Jacqueline Nieto, MD, MSc

Maria Jacqueline Nieto, MD, MSc is an Assistant Professor of Medicine at The Donald and Barbara Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell where she specializes in treating patients with benign and malignant hematological conditions.Dr Nieto is board certified in Internal Medicine and Medical Oncology. Dr Nieto's clinical focus is on myelodysplastic syndromes, myeloproliferative disorders, and lymphomas. She is particularly interested in the care of the elderly with hematological malignancies, evaluating treatment disparities in cancer care, and optimizing cancer and palliative care at the end of life. She is co-investigator on multiple clinical trials focused on the treatment of patients with hematological malignancies. Dr Nieto has a Master of Science degree in Clinical Research from New York University. Dr Nieto is an active member in the American Society of Clinical Oncology and the American Society of Hematology and is fluent in Spanish.
