Dr. Yili Huang, D.O., D.A.B.A. is a licensed and board certified Pain Management Anesthesiologist and founder of the Pain Management service at Northwell Phelps Hospital in Sleepy Hollow, NY. Pain is one of the most common reasons for a physician visit, yet it is often inadequately treated. As a former athlete who has personally battled pain, Dr. Huang's goal is to optimize pain control, enhance functional, physical and psychological well-being with a focus on improving his patient's quality of life. He combines his Ivy-League medical training with his osteopathic education to provide a uniquely comprehensive approach to pain management. His clinical interests lie in minimally invasive procedures including spinal cord stimulation, various nerve and joint injections, and targeted drug delivery systems.Dr. Huang's served our veterans as Attending Anesthesiologist at the Connecticut Veterans Affair Health System in West Haven, CT.Dr. Huang's training include:Fellowship in Interventional Pain Management at the prestigious Weill Cornell - New York Presbyterian Hospital/ Memorial Sloan Kettering/ Hospital for Special Surgery Tri-Institutional Pain Fellowship in New York, NY, where he was trained by the industry leaders at three of the top healthcare institutions in the country. Residency in Anesthesiology at Yale University School of Medicine - New Haven Hospital in New Haven, CT, where he was mentored by many of the thought leaders in the field. Dr. Huang graduated medical school from New York College of Osteopathic Medicine in Old Westbury, NY, where he was trained to focus on the whole person and to utilize the body's innate ability to heal itself. Combined with his world-class traditional medical training, he brings a truly unique and holistic perspective to the treatment of painful conditions.Dr. Huang has also published many articles and book chapters on pain management interventions and medications, anesthesiology, patient safety. In addition he has presented at numerous national conferences on anesthesiology and pain management topics including targeted drug delivery, spinal cord stimulation, and ultrasound guided regional anesthesia. Dr. Huang was part of the resident section committee for the American Society of Regional Anesthesia, as well as the New York State Society of Anesthesiologists, where he participated in annual meeting planning and coordination. In addition he is an active member of the American Society of Anesthesiologists, the North American Neuromodulation Society, and the New York Society of Interventional Pain Physicians.
