Yafell Serulle, MD, PhD

Dr. Yafell Serulle is the Chief of Neuroendovascular Surgery for the Department of Neurosurgery at Lenox Hill Hospital. He specializes in the endovascular treatment of stroke, intracranial aneurysms, vascular malformations, atherosclerotic disease of the neck and head vasculature, and other vascular pathologies of the head, neck and spine. His clinical interests also include the treatment of vertebral compression fractures using minimally invasive techniques. Dr. Serulle completed his radiology residency at NYU-Langone Medical Center, followed by fellowships in neuroradiology and interventional neuroradiology at the University of Maryland. He is board certified in diagnostic radiology and neuroradiology CAQ. Dr. Serulle has been the author of numerous publications in top peer-reviewed journals, and has contributed to several book chapters in the topics of neurointervention. He is a senior member of the Society of Neurointerventional Surgery and the American Society of Neuroradiology.
