Monica Johnson, WHNP

Monica Johnson, WHNP, is a board-certified women’s health nurse practitioner. She completed her medical training at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas.

Monica sees patients 13 years and older for various gynecological needs, including well-woman exams, birth control, family planning and counseling, breast cancer screenings, prenatal and postnatal care for expectant mothers, and screening and treatment of sexually transmitted infections.

Monica is passionate about women’s health and became a women’s health nurse practitioner after working as a labor and delivery nurse for seven years. Since 1992, she has worked as a women’s health nurse practitioner, community health nurse educator and professional speaker through various local and national organizations. She was also a nursing professor at Webster University in St. Louis for 15 years.

Today, Monica loves spending time giving back to the community by volunteering at health fairs and organizations focusing on childhood hunger, Alzheimer’s education, promoting breast care, and improving mental health for African American Women.

Treating each patient as if they are a family member is a cornerstone of her medical care philosophy. Monica enjoys listening to patient and family perspectives so she can help her patients live a healthy life and overcome any unique obstacles.
